Actor and comedian Mindy Kaling hosted the program, which ended at around 10 p.m., and late night host Stephen Colbert moderated a conversation with Biden, Clinton and Obama. Colbert acknowledged one protester and asked Biden about the U.S. role in ensuring a peaceful and prosperous future for both Israelis and Palestinians. Outside the New York venue Thursday, more than 100 pro-Palestinian protesters chanted slogans like "Biden, Biden, you're a liar," and waved Palestinian flags and signs with anti-war messages. Biden and Trump are polling neck-and-neck, with 46% of voters supporting Trump and 45% supporting Biden, according to a March poll by CNBC. During Thursday's moderated discussion, Colbert asked Clinton what he would say to voters who do not feel like the economy is strong.

The Future of Rap Is Female

The Future of Rap Is Female As their male counterparts turn depressive and paranoid, it’s the women who are having all the fun. In the mid-’80s, the dynamics shifted slightly, when UTFO released “Roxanne, Roxanne,” a comical torch song dissing a woman who rejected the men’s advances. Like good sex, raunchy rap is only fun if all parties are completely enthusiastic, and this music provides necessary female perspectives to match what the men make. In Miami one weekend in late July, Rolling Loud, one of the biggest annual hip-hop festivals, made itself into a microcosm of the rap world. There’s a relentless gender pessimism in the air, too — on the street, on dating apps, in the Supreme Court and, of course, in rap music.

When Rick Ferri, a financial advisor and founder of Ferri Investment Solutions, recently saw a new client's portfolio, it conjured a familiar image: a comic by retirement planner Aaron Brask featuring Humpty Dumpty. In it, an intact egg sitting on the wall is labeled as a total market portfolio with an expense ratio of 0.04%. Here's how to know if you're in a "Humpty Dumpty portfolio" and why it's essential to keep your investing costs as low as possible. What is a 'Humpty Dumpty portfolio'? Why you don't want a 'Humpty Dumpty portfolio'
That would be the worst-case outcome, of course, but even the best case will probably see the sort of brinksmanship that occurred in the 2011 debt ceiling crisis." From the Senate, Mitch McConnell recently said it's an issue for Biden and the House GOP to work out. Kevin Brady , the former top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee, dismissed talk of debt default as "fear mongering." Narrowness of GOP House majority does matterJPMorgan also referred to the path for a political agreement as being "narrow." In 2013, the Federal Reserve ran a simulation of a debt default by the U.S. government.
Nov 15 (Reuters) - Donald Trump said he would make a third bid for the U.S. presidency, in an announcement that was carried live on Fox News' “Hannity” show Tuesday. Trump received an upbeat response from host Sean Hannity, a longtime supporter who has interviewed the former president on myriad occasions, and guests including Fox contributor Mike Huckabee and “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host Pete Hegseth. “He is the preeminent fighter for freedom, for America First, of our generation,” said Hegseth in remarks after Trump’s announcement. The show’s enthusiasm about Trump’s candidacy runs counter to some of the harsher criticism that Fox and other news outlets controlled by Rupert Murdoch have levied against Trump in the days since the midterm elections. On midterm election night, some Fox News analysts singled out Trump for criticism when the "red wave" that was expected to sweep Republican candidates into office amounted to a trickle.
The New York Post depicted Donald Trump as a nursery-rhyme character for its Thursday cover. Many Republicans saw the midterm results as a stunning rebuke of Trump's supposed hold on the GOP. The cover was shared by New York Times correspondent Maggie Haberman, a former New York Post reporter herself. At the time, The Post's editorial board wrote that Trump would bring back "explosive job creation, rising wages and general prosperity" prior to the pandemic. Piers Morgan, the controversial British journalist who joined The Post as a columnist in 2021, authored the cover story.
Three of the most prominent right-wing media outlets in the US are turning on Trump. Fox News, the NY Post, and WSJ editorial board all published critical pieces about Trump amid Republican underperformance in the midterms. The New York Post published a Thursday cover story mocking "Trumpty Dumpty" for failing to unify the Republican Party. The Wall Street Journal's editorial board followed suit, publishing a piece Thursday calling Trump the GOP's "biggest loser." The WSJ editorial board blamed Trump for having "botched" the 2022 midterms, adding that "it could hand Democrats the Senate for two more years."
